The host starts it from the room
During the meeting, only the host sees the "Start recording" button on the control bar. Recording never starts on its own.
Everyone sees the REC indicator
While recording is active, a "REC" indicator shows for every participant in the room — no one is recorded without knowing it.
One video, already laid out
When the host stops, the recording is processed into a single MP4 file, with cameras and screen share automatically arranged.
Download it from the Recordings page
The recording shows as "Processing" and then "Ready" on your Recordings page, which refreshes on its own. From there you can download or delete it.
Retention and privacy
What you should know before you record.
Recording is never automatic — only the host decides to record, meeting by meeting.
On Pro, recordings stay available for 14 days. On Business, for 30 days. After that, they're deleted automatically.
You get an email warning 5 days before deletion and another 1 day before, so nothing disappears by surprise.
Free plan meetings can't be recorded.
Frequently asked questions
Does this record Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams calls?
No. This records meetings held on Go4Meet. To use it, create your meeting on Go4Meet and start the recording from the room.
Does recording start automatically when someone joins?
No. Recording only starts when the host clicks "Start recording". While it's active, everyone in the room sees the REC indicator. The host may later share the finished recording with a public link.
How long is a recording kept?
14 days on Pro, 30 days on Business. After that, the file is deleted automatically — we email you 5 days and 1 day before it happens.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
No. Every new account gets a 14-day Pro trial with no credit card, and recording is a Pro feature. When the trial ends you move to the Free plan, which can't record, unless you choose to subscribe.
