Technical Questions

Go4Meet works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your browser.

We recommend a minimum of 3 Mbps download and 1.5 Mbps upload for HD video. Our adaptive streaming technology automatically adjusts quality based on your connection.

Yes! All plans include screen sharing. You can share your entire screen, a specific application window, or a browser tab. Perfect for presentations and demos.

Yes! Go4Meet is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. Just open your mobile browser and join meetings on the go.

Most of the time it's a denied browser permission, the wrong device selected, or another program holding the camera. We have a camera and microphone test that identifies the cause in about 2 minutes. Open the camera and microphone test.

Security & Privacy

All meeting media — video, audio, and screen share — travels encrypted in transit over SRTP and DTLS (WebRTC's standard protocols), relayed through our own LiveKit-based SFU. Chat and reactions ride the data channel with their own transit encryption layer. We do not offer end-to-end encryption: Go4Meet's infrastructure processes the streams to deliver them to each participant. Recording only happens when the host turns it on manually — never automatically — and every participant sees a visible on-screen indicator while it's active. The host controls the waiting room and who gets into the meeting, and guests can join without creating an account.

Only if the host chooses to. Meetings are never recorded automatically. Hosts on Pro and Business can record from the meeting room; the recording is merged into a single video you can download from your Recordings page, with automatic layout for cameras and screen sharing. Recordings are kept for 14 days on Pro and 30 days on Business, then deleted automatically, and we email you 5 days and 1 day before. Free plan meetings cannot be recorded.

Yes! Pro and Business plans include a waiting room feature where the host can approve participants before they join. You can also enable/disable guest access anytime.
